Kawa-X is the XBox port of a Windows emulator I made some time ago named
Kawaks.It allows to play titles from the Capcom CPS1, CPS2 and SNK NeoGeo library. Pretty much all games are supported, even these 90mb monsters that would normally not fit into the XBox's limited 64mb RAM. (This emu includes a significant amount of black magic :P) For the more recent encrypted NeoGeo games, though, only the decrypted form is supported (64Mb of RAM won't allow to do the decryption). Kawaks (PC version) can produce decrypted sets, if you only have encrypted versions...

There's the following goodies waiting inside :
- CPS1, CPS2, NeoGeo support (doh)
- Plenty of nice eye candy video filters (more about that later)
- Redefinable controls (including handy macros like keys to do 3 punches, etc)
- Can save screenshots
- Savestates (8 slots per game)
- You can play NeoGeo games either in arcade mode or in console mode
- You can switch region (language settings) for every supported CPS2 game.
For example, that means you can play the normally japanese only Mighty Pang in english if you want...

I'm playing kof2002 on the xbox with kawa-x emu right now...
BUT FIRST OF ALL TO THE AUTHOR ! Sorry for finding this glitch IN YOUR PERFECT NEOGEO/CPS2 emulator for xbox !! I'm a big fan, there is no better emu out there, you did one hell of a job for the public ! TNX
Here are the things you have to do :->
You have to fake the emu by letting it think you are playing kof2001...
so YOU rename alle files to the KOF2001 roms !!!
Make the following changes :
It works 100 % !! Strangely this hack does not work on Winkawaks as the GFX are scrambled
KOF2001.zip -> (first extract them all from kof2k2.zip)
RENAME ;
kof2k2_v1.rom -> 262-v1.bin
kof2k2_v2.rom -> 262-v2.bin
kof2k2_v4.rom -> 262-v3.bin
kof2k2_p1.rom -> 262-p1.bin
kof2k2_p2.rom -> 262-p2.bin
kof2k2_m1.rom -> 262-m1d.bin (LOOK OUT here !!! the kof2k2 M rom is half of what the 2001 was !!! SO you need to copy it twice in that filename --> the dos command is : COPY /B kof2k2_m1.rom + kof2k2_m1.rom 262-m1d.bin
Then zip the file... kof2k1n.zip
RENAME :
kof2k2_c1.rom -> kf2k1_c1.rom
kof2k2_c2.rom -> kf2k1_c2.rom
kof2k2_c3.rom -> kf2k1_c3.rom
kof2k2_c4.rom -> kf2k1_c4.rom
kof2k2_c5.rom -> kf2k1_c5.rom
kof2k2_c6.rom -> kf2k1_c6.rom
kof2k2_c7.rom -> kf2k1_c7.rom
kof2k2_c8.rom -> kf2k1_c8.rom
Check filename !!! kf not kof
Save it to kof2k1n.zip
Voila just load King of fighters 2001 and.... King of fighters 2002 loads 100% gfx; 100% playable, 100% Sound !

虽然能够运行，不过不太完美！
几种模拟器不能运行的情况及可能的解决方法：
一、进入模拟器后马上又退回EVOX的界面
1、先确定模拟器的文件没有丢失或缺损
2、如果使用的是KAWA-X 0.10版本，尝试更换KAWA-X 0.11。因为KAWA-X 0.10在某些BIOS下需要打补丁才能运行。
3、如果模拟器安装在F盘上，尝试将模拟器安装在E盘。国外有安装在F盘无法运行而装在E盘正常运行的例子。
4、尝试关闭EVOX的IGR后运行模拟器。
二、提示ROM读取错误
利用ROM整理工具RomCenter加载模拟器附带的Kawa-X RomCenter.dat文件，并整理ROM。整理ROM的几个注意点：
1、整理NEOGEO游戏的时候注意把neogeo.zip文件和ROM放到一起进行整理，这样可以保证neogeo.zip文件的正确。
2、部分NEOGEO的游戏需要预解密，网上下载的解密版ROM可能是完整的ROM，也可能只包含解密文件。如果发现缺少文件，就将未解密的ROM一起下载下来，就能组合出完整的ROM。如果不把两个ROM合并而只把他们放在一起也是可以的，不过会占用更多的硬盘空间。
